We have already paid for accomodation and flights seperate to those available funds. Take a look and see why Bintang Supermarket Bali is a top spot to buy food and gifts. No.1: Learn about local food culture. Kids can learn so much by comparing what’s on the shelves and in the fridges in a Bali supermarket to home. Seeing the costs of things such as fresh vegetables or meat compared to home is an eye opener too. If you live long-term in Bali, you will be required to employ at least one person. Usually a Pembantu is the person everyone goes with. A housekeeper who will come to your home and do chores as directed by you. The average salary for a housekeeper working 20 hours per week is $78 per month. Don’t drink the tap water!

Here’s my take on places to eat in Bali especially for first time visitors. 1. Babi Guling (Suckling Pig) Also known as Balinese Suckling Pig, Babi Guling causes hungry pork fanatics wet dreams. It’s one of the Island’s most famous local dish, where a pig is seasoned with local herbs and spices then roasted whole.
Meals at a restaurant that would be equivilant to a cafe in Sydney would be 20-30.000 ($3-4) or up to 50.000 ($7) for a nicer place. There are restaurants much dearer bthan nthis but I don't see the need to visit them (maybe a special night). If you want to post again saying where you are staying I can give you some lovely restaurants.
I suggest a daily budget of: $25 to $50 per day for budget travelers. $50 to $100 per day for mid-budget travelers. $150 per day for luxury travelers. However, you don’t need to carry this all in cash. You should carry 40–60% in cash, with the balance in a checking or savings bank account accessible with an ATM card.
